Not yet. Poor cash flow after my accident put it on hold. Still could use one though. The rep said he can arrange demos though.

This enables a cutting length of 730mm, with the overall length of the machine being just 900mm!

    Still only a 730mm tile, not a 900

What you think of the Makita grinder album, next on the list to replace the tired old Bosch?

Has anyone had experience of poor lifespan of li-ion batteries?

No quite the opposite...... have the Dewalt 2.0ah Lithiums and they are great, long run time, no self discharge and a lot lighter than the comparable nicads or nimhs.....

I have read however that the Makita 3.0ah lithiums are VERY iffy due to the amount of faulty ones on ebay and a well known battery reconditioning company is looking into how to fix these due to such high demand.....

Hmmmm - I posted this because it was my dad's battery that died after 11 months of very little use and that was the Makita 3.0ah.
Had my 2 Nicads for 5 years now and still going strong, it's the drill that's in need of replacing soon.
I like how the lithiums seem to have no drop off in use - full power then no power. You tend to not notice when it's gradual like the
    Nicads.

Think I'll definitely go the Dewalt Lithium route now.

Don't forget as well the new Dewalt XR range which is lithium based but offers a 3.0ah battery instead of the 2.0ah packs which are basically a retrofit for the older tool bodies......
