Universeal Sealants, ready to launch an industry 1st product...

Universeal Sealants have spent the past 18 months developing a natural stone impregnator which allows for just only one application of the natural stone surface.
This NEW innovative Micromesh Technology raises industry standards, the Universeal One-Coat impregnator eliminates the need to apply two, three or even four coats to pourous natural stone.

Extensive stain tests have proved this product offers unrivalled stain protection after just One-Coat application, all other UK sealant brands required two, three or even four coats to offer comparible results.

Universeal will be officially launching both solvent and water based Nanoseal and Microseal formulas in May 2012

For natural stone distributors and fixers who demand the Ultimate performance, ease of application and value for money, I strongly recommend trying Universeal One-Coat.

Ok, i have a question Jason.....

What product would i use this new 'One Coat' sealer on?

and maybe im being a little dense, what's the difference between Nanoseal and Microseal?

The NEW One-Coat impregnator products have been designed to be used for all types of porous masonry and dense natural stone surfaces, but with one major advantage, the NEW Micromesh One-Coat Technolgy allows for just one application to offer maximum stain protection.

The difference between the two products is firstly the formulas are solvent based and water based, the Micro Seal formula is the water based product, formulated to be used with all porous natural stones. The terminology of Micro Seal is a reference to the Micro pores found in masonry and porous stone, these are the small hole found on the surface and within the stone that are impregnated and filled with the resin sealer to offer the stain protection. The Nano Seal solvent product has been designed for the denser stone surfaces, i.e. polished marble and granited etc. Due to the smaller pores (holes) on the surface and within the stone known as Nano pores, this makes the impregnation process much more difficult for liquid sealers to soak in to the stone due to the stronger surface tension. In this case a solvent is used because solvents are generally thinner and heavier than water making them an ideal carrier that makes application easier and a more efficient.

I could go on and on Lee, but I'll save you from that, I hope this helps you understand the basics... o_O

Unfortunatley this is a characteristic of most solvent carriers, whether you use a hydrocarbon solvent, mineral spirit or alcohol etc, you are going to get the mind blowing smell, this will be the same for other competitor brands. We are very aware that solvent smells are very affensive so we have blended our solvent carrier to evaporate very quickly, this in turn will take the smell away very quickly, this process is more expensive but we feel these benefits out way the cost implications.

There are many reasons and benefits to work with water based impregantors, unfortunately in certain situations they don't generally work as well as solvents for application and impregantion. If you read a previous post by DC he states that he was very impressed with our One-Coat Microseal (water based) it's NEW Micromesh technology is designed to have closer characteristics of a solvent based impregnator over other competitor water based formulas, we strongly believe water based is the future...

    Thanks for your feedback

I believe we are expecting the products labels in tomorrow from the printers, the product has already been manufactured and in stock so if they arrive in time we could send an order out straight away.

Good news Jason as this is now my preferred choice for dense or polish stone.

Thanks Dave, that is a massive compliment to the product especially when it's a water based product being used for polished dense surfaces. It looks like all the hard work and effort to produce this NEW Micromesh technology could pay off. :)

I have a small natural stone hallway squeezed in next wednesday and thursday too, i haven't seen the tiles yet but i have adhesive, grout and sealer to supply with my labour.
