as above what brand do you use
palace and granfix due to them being the only reasonably priced around here
Dont know if this is meant for us
If it is then webber good value, nice to use and then there is the added bonus of the points.
oh yeah, i just seen, sorry jay
Dave, I think you should make some kind of "difference" between the NZ and the UK parts of the forum.
Maybe make the NZ in pink?
We now have a big green "new zealand" before each thread title.
I still think the guys would like a pink background too!
any one can answer
Agree Jay, anyone can answer, it may encourage the kiwis to venture out into the forum.
Don't forget the kiwi usually spends its time foraging around in the undergrowth of the NZ rainforests, and rarely comes out into the light of day. So when they do please no noise or sudden movements, we don't want to scare them away.lol
Like the badge Dave, good idea, thanks
When I was on the tools it was conchem Monoflex for floors and grip flex for walls. I liked the custom build prod. Prolite, it's a good all rounder. Have used ASA conflex for floors a good prod too. oh and megafix is good for walls, nice and creamy, especially on a sandwich!!??
This little Kiwi had no choice made him come on
well at least he bought his pin hammer along
Ok ok guys the fun is over, lol...
I've tried most and like you Bob, Mono and Gripflex are pretty awesome especially for large format tiles. I have mostly used Ardex as a system as there waterproofing is awesome and have a great range of adhesives for any application. New boys on the block CTA are going to be a big hit on price, technology from Custom Building and there care for formulating to suit NZ conditions.
Hi Dean, and welcome to the NZTF good to have you aboard.
Firstly, your comment has cleared things up for me but not how you might think.
And Jay, you have really stirred up a hornets nest with this thread.
I used custom building products for a while until my accident.
I got it from the guys at Global tiles in Onehunga, Ak.
Now I know why they don't anymore.
Apparently Custom took it off them because it was going to be exclusive to a larger Aussie crowd.
They weren't to happy to say the least as you can imagine.
That would now be CTA.
And Dean, yes they do have some good products as does custom.
The quality that both ARDEX and Custom can bring to the industry can only be a good thing imo.
Yea a good thing Bob if guys will actually use them. I still pull up floors that guys have laid thinking they can stick down porcelain tiles with a $10 bag of Tilebond, lol
My sentiments exactly and the problem really is a matter of education IMO.
I've ripped up plenty in my time and it's really a matter of giving cheap for cheap.
So it's really about educating mr. And mrs. Bloggs that cheap can be very expensive.
Unfortunately I have had to look into the eyes of my very stressed client and give them the bad news that it's going to cost them over double to put right.
You will find that our UK bros are faced with the same problem.
I'm sure you will hear from them tonight when thay wake up.
Lazy varmints lol.
Is that the adh the Lati rep moved to (Greame) CTA
Not to sure Jay... I know it is a couple of guys from Ardex, Paul from Construction Chemicals and the once chief of ASA from what I understand
I think CTA is were Graeme Wall moved to from Lati if it is then he will get the adh fairly good got a couple of bags to try next week
Separate names with a comma.
