I've used quite a few of TileMaster Adhesives products over the last couple of years, but not tried the new Grout 3000, looks like an interesting product using recycled materials.

    Has anyone used this grout?

    No. I wouldn't mind a go though.

Yes, have used it, and also got quite a good response from quite alot of our fixers.

Clever people them guys up at TileMaster, they actually listen to what tilers are asking for.

Are they suitable for 1mm gaps and fine mosaic work and exterior application, Mark?
  6. DavidCarr Tiling Forum Admin

The data sheet states 2mm - 15mm and suitable for internal / external application. 1mm is pretty fine ;)

I have and it is top quality, it is nicer to use the both ardex fs/fl ranges and mapei ultracolour it really is a fantastic product

1mm is very fine MG but the grout is made using very fine ingredients. Is there any way you could try a test area? Grout 3000 is suitable for exterior use and I am sure you would find the grout a joy to work with. I can arrange a sample if you wish?

Any stockists over my way Mark?
    Armatile?

Hi Joe, Armatile do stock a couple of our products, but not yet Grout 3000 - it is a relatively new product. They will be due to order some time soon, I can arrange samples for you and I am sure they would take stock if the samples proved to be successful.

Sounds great Mark, i use Armatile quite a lot.
You supply the TA levelling compound to them do you?

A sample would be great, Mark! If you look at my work on my website you can see what I require from grout, and I am always open to expore new options. :)

Yes thats right a product called Levelflex, we also supply them a standard setting flexi adhesive. I'll speak to Armatile next week and will arrange a sample, I will be in touch once its arranged.

Very impressive MG! The multi coloured lizard could be of interest to a tile retailer we deal with called New Image Tiles, their logo is identical! You never know, they may be interested in you doing something similar for them! Whose grouts do you usually use for you work?

Do well Mark, is it a good stain resistant grout?
I love your levelflex, 1-50mm in one strike is class.
I deal with Armatile in Armagh and have an account there too. They know me well.

Aggresive products will stain the grout Joe, it has the same "drop effect" as the Mapei UC - i.e. moisture beads on the surface, so it has got a good resistance to staining. You could say stain resistant but not stain proof.

Thank you, Mark :) So far I have used Ultra (most easily available locally), Mapei Ultracolour, Mapei Kerapoxy design and Litochrom Starlike epoxy. And yes, please do spread the word..., great!

Is it rapid setting and eff-free Mark?
  20. Mark@Tilemaster Adhesives Tiling Products Support

Eff-free yes, not rapid setting. We sacrificed rapid setting in order to give a longer working time of 45 - 60 minutes. The grout will set around 2 - 3 hours. You can wash the grout off before it has fully cured in the joint, it has a good hold and non slump and therefore will not drag out when your washing off.
All colours are made from white cement which contains far less free lime than grey cement, as a result, you do not get the efflorescence and patchy drying.
